# Aiyo Brand Guidelines

**Last updated:** 2026-09-05

This document is the source of truth for Aiyo's visual identity.
If you are integrating Aiyo, writing about Aiyo, sending an email
on behalf of Aiyo, or shipping a partner page that links to Aiyo,
this is the page that tells you exactly how.

If you need an asset that's not here, email **info@aiyoplane.com**.

## The brand in one sentence

> **Aiyo is the Economic Execution Authorization plane for autonomous systems. Verify First. Execute Second.**

Use this exact wording for partner pages, press, decks, and any
"who is Aiyo" boilerplate.

### The category, the invariant, the wedge

For anyone writing about Aiyo, quoting Aiyo, or building materials that mention Aiyo — these are the three canonical phrases that carry the positioning. Ship them exactly.

- **Category** — Economic Execution Authorization
- **Invariant** — Verify First. Execute Second.
- **Wedge** — Settlement-verified economic execution authorization

The **category** names what Aiyo is. Use it in every piece of positioning language, every headline, every LinkedIn/X bio, every press mention.

The **invariant** names the operating principle Aiyo enforces on every action. Use it on hero surfaces, in demo narration, on stage, and as a memorable closing line. Title case, periods — always.

The **wedge** names the specific technical entry point where Aiyo integrates today. Use it when the audience is technical enough to care about payment rails and settlement — developer docs, integration pages, engineering-team briefings, technical press. Do not lead with the wedge in cold materials or general-audience contexts; it reads as payments infrastructure and understates the primitive.

## The mark

The Aiyo wordmark is **lowercase `aıyo`** with a **teal permission
token** (a filled circle) replacing the dot on the `ı`. The dot is
the brand. It represents the single primitive Aiyo is built around:
a verifiable authorization that an action may proceed. That primitive
is Aiyo's Runtime Decision Point (RDP) — the specific gate the teal
permission-token dot visually represents.

Three rules, in priority order:

1. **The dot must always be teal `#0E7C7B`.** This is the load-
   bearing brand element.
2. **The wordmark is always lowercase.** Never `Aiyo`, never `AIYO`
in the mark itself. (In running prose, capitalize as a proper
   noun: "Aiyo verifies execution.")
3. **The dot sits above the `ı` (a dotless i).** The wordmark is
set in Cabinet Grotesk Bold (or Inter Bold fallback) with
`letter-spacing: -6`. The dot is positioned by hand to align
   over the second character.

### Don't

- ❌ Recolor the dot
- ❌ Stretch or skew the wordmark
- ❌ Outline the wordmark
- ❌ Add shadows, gradients, or effects
- ❌ Place the wordmark on low-contrast backgrounds
- ❌ Mix uppercase and lowercase
- ❌ Pair with a tagline other than "Verify First. Execute Second."

### Do

- ✅ Use the official SVG files in this folder
- ✅ Maintain at least 1× the dot diameter as clear-space padding
- ✅ Use the dark variant on dark surfaces, light on light
- ✅ Use the monochrome black version when the medium can't print
  color (newspaper, fax, single-ink)
- ✅ Link the wordmark to **aiyoplane.com** when used in a digital surface

## Color palette

| Name | Hex | Use |
|---|---|---|
| **Aiyo Teal** | `#0E7C7B` | Primary brand color. The permission token. Buttons, links, key affordances. |
| **Coral** | `#F97768` | Accent. Sparingly. Used for highlight states, callouts, "what to look at." |
| **Cream** | `#FBF9F4` | Default light background. Warmer than pure white; the brand's foundational surface. |
| **Slate** | `#1E293B` | Default body text on cream. Default background in dark mode. |
| **Mist** | `#E5E7EB` | Borders, dividers, low-contrast structural elements. |

**On contrast:** Slate text on Cream passes WCAG AAA. Teal on Cream
passes AA at 14pt+ (use 16pt or larger for sustained reading). Never
place Teal text on Coral or vice versa.

## Typography

**Display (wordmark, large headings):** Cabinet Grotesk Bold
**Body + UI:** Inter (400, 500, 600, 700)
**Code + monospace:** JetBrains Mono Medium

Inter is the fallback for Cabinet Grotesk in environments where
Cabinet Grotesk isn't loaded. The wordmark SVGs declare both so
they degrade gracefully.

We do not license a custom typeface. Both Inter and JetBrains Mono
are open source (SIL Open Font License). Cabinet Grotesk is free
for personal and commercial use from Fontshare.

## Asset inventory

### Wordmarks

| File | When to use |
|---|---|
| `logo_primary.svg` | Default. Cream background, slate wordmark, teal dot. |
| `logo_primary_dark.svg` | Dark surfaces. Slate background, cream wordmark, teal dot. |
| `logo_with_tagline.svg` | When you have room for the tagline. Light surface. |
| `logo_with_tagline_dark.svg` | Tagline variant for dark surface. |
| `logo_mono_black.svg` | Single-color black wordmark for press, fax, single-ink. |
| `logo_concept_a_wordmark.svg` | **Wide-aspect wordmark variant.** Same brand colors as `logo_primary.svg` (slate wordmark, teal permission-token dot, cream background), rendered in a wider 600×200 viewport. Use when the primary lockup's square-ish proportions don't fit the surface — extra-wide site header banners, LinkedIn / X company cover images, deck title-slide corner strips, wide footer branding, retina hero banners, video end-cards. |
| `logo_concept_b_wordmark.svg` | **Warm-mode monochrome variant.** Coral wordmark with a coral permission-token dot on cream (single-color, both wordmark and dot use `#F97768`). Use only where the brand needs to lead with warmth rather than the teal's structural, protocol feel: hiring and recruiting materials, thank-you notes, community and culture surfaces, brand merch (stickers, tees) where coral pops on cream. Never on dark surfaces (contrast fails). Never as the primary mark in investor, product, developer, or press contexts — those always use the canonical teal-dot primary. |

### Icon

| File | When to use |
|---|---|
| `logo_icon.svg` | The standalone teal dot. App icon, profile picture, anywhere the full wordmark won't fit. |
| `logo_icon_dark.svg` | Icon variant for dark surfaces. |
| `favicon.svg` | 32×32 master for browser tab favicon. |
| `app_icon_1024.svg` | 1024×1024 iOS/Android app icon master with safe-area padding. Export PNG at every required size from this. |

### Lockups & layouts

| File | When to use |
|---|---|
| `logo_horizontal_lockup.svg` | Icon · wordmark · tagline, side-by-side. Email signatures, business cards, footer use. |
| `email_signature.svg` | Compact 480×120 lockup for email footer. Export at 2× for retina. |

### Press / social / cover

| File | When to use |
|---|---|
| `social_share_card.svg` | 1200×630 Open Graph image. Renders when aiyoplane.com is shared on Slack, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, iMessage. |
| `press_cover_dark.svg` | 1920×1080 dark cover for deck title slides, conference covers, video thumbnails. |

### Color reference

| File | When to use |
|---|---|
| `color_swatches.svg` | One-glance reference for the 5-color palette. Embed in decks or share with designers. |

## How to use the dashboard mark

The dashboard at **merchant.aiyoplane.com** uses two variants from
this kit:

- `aiyo-mark-light.svg` — on cream backgrounds (default content
  surface)
- `aiyo-mark-dark.svg` — on slate backgrounds (topbar, dark cards)

## Voice & tone

The brand voice is **honest, direct, confident.** A few notes:

- Aiyo is the **Economic Execution Authorization plane for autonomous systems** — not "a payment processor," not "an AI governance platform," not bare "runtime authorization" (a phrase owned by half a dozen adjacent vendors). When space allows, spell out the full category. When space is tight, use "the plane between autonomous intent and consequential execution."
- Aiyo "verifies" and "authorizes." Aiyo does not "process."
- Aiyo is **quadruple-agnostic** — rail-agnostic, wallet-agnostic, identity-agnostic, actor-agnostic. Never claim exclusivity with a single rail, wallet, identity provider, or agent framework.
- The invariant is **Verify First. Execute Second.** — title case, periods, always. Not the lowercase-with-comma form; and never the near-neighbor phrases from adjacent vendors ("No receipt. No execution.", "No mandate, no ticket. No ticket, no execution.").
- The named primitive is the **Runtime Decision Point (RDP)** — the specific technical thing merchants integrate against. When explaining what Aiyo *is at the architecture layer*, name the RDP.
- The signed artifact Aiyo emits is called an **execution receipt** (two words, always). The intent-through-outcome chain Aiyo preserves is called **execution lineage**. Prefer these over generic "signed receipt" or "audit log."
- The technical wedge — when the audience is deep enough to care about rails and settlement — is **settlement-verified economic execution authorization**. Don't lead with this phrase in cold pitches; it makes people read Aiyo as payments infrastructure.
- When describing failures, use the structured `reason_code` vocabulary from Aiyo's V1 API contract. Do not use free text.
- Avoid hype words: "revolutionary," "game-changing," "best-in-class." Let the architecture do the talking.

### The boilerplate paragraph

For press, partner pages, or anyone asking "what is Aiyo?":

> Aiyo is the Economic Execution Authorization plane for autonomous systems. Aiyo's Runtime Decision Point evaluates intent, authority, policy, and verified economic state — including on-rail settlement, where money is the consequence — and issues a portable, signed execution receipt before the downstream action runs. Quadruple-agnostic across rail, wallet, identity, and agent. Built on Open Payments and the Interledger Protocol, live on x402 with USDC on Base, with the Machine Payments Protocol on Tempo shipped. Verify First. Execute Second. Visit **aiyoplane.com**.
